An enlarged, more powerful successor to the original Vega, with a wider first stage and a redesigned second stage to increase payload capacity by around 60 percent. A second-stage nozzle failure destroyed its second flight in December 2022, grounding the vehicle for nearly two years before a redesigned nozzle returned it to service.
