Yutu-2 is a Chinese robotic lunar rover that is part of the Chang'e 4 mission. It achieved the first soft landing on the far side of the Moon on January 3, 2019, and became the longest-lived lunar rover, surpassing the Soviet Lunokhod 1's record in November 2019. The rover uses ground-penetrating radar to study subsurface layers and has traveled over 1,600 meters across the lunar surface.
