InSight was a robotic lander designed to study the deep interior of Mars. It was manufactured by Lockheed Martin Space and managed by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The mission confirmed marsquakes on the planet, indicating a still-active interior, and InSight operated on Mars for 1,440 sols, about four years and 19 days, before its mission ended in December 2022.
