An international radio telescope under construction across two core sites, South Africa's Karoo region and Western Australia, intended when complete to combine roughly a square kilometer of collecting area from thousands of linked antennas and dishes. Led by a multinational intergovernmental organization, it is planned as the most sensitive radio telescope ever built.
