A South African array of sixty-four 13.5-meter radio dishes in the Northern Cape's Karoo semi-desert, completed in 2018 as a precursor and now an integral part of the Square Kilometre Array. It has produced some of the most detailed radio images ever taken of the center of the Milky Way and of clusters of galaxies.
