A NASA robotic mission that has orbited Jupiter since 2016 to study the planet's composition, gravity and magnetic fields, and deep atmospheric structure. Launched on 5 August 2011, the Juno spacecraft entered a polar orbit of Jupiter on 5 July 2016 and has had its mission repeatedly extended, continuing observations of the planet and its major moons into the mid-2020s.
