India's Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle, developed to carry heavier communications satellites to geostationary transfer orbit than the PSLV can manage, using a cryogenic upper stage India developed indigenously after a Russian technology-transfer deal collapsed under U.S. pressure in the 1990s.
