Puck is the sixth-largest moon of Uranus and the largest of its inner moons, discovered by the Voyager 2 spacecraft in December 1985. Its name follows the convention of naming Uranus's moons after characters from English literature, in this case drawn from the mischievous sprite in Shakespeare's play A Midsummer Night's Dream.
