Pandora is an inner moon of Saturn, discovered in 1980 in photographs taken by the Voyager 1 probe and provisionally designated S/1980 S 26 before being officially named, in late 1985, for Pandora of Greek mythology; it also carries the formal designation Saturn XVII.
