The Ptolemy Cluster, catalogued as Messier 7 and also designated NGC 6475, is an open star cluster in the constellation Scorpius, close to the tail's stinger, and is easily seen with the naked eye. At a declination of about minus 34.8 degrees it is the southernmost object in Messier's catalogue.
