Messier 39, also known as M39, NGC 7092 or the Pyramid Cluster, is an open cluster of stars in the constellation Cygnus, about two degrees south of the star Pi Cygni and some nine degrees east-northeast of Deneb. It was discovered by Guillaume Le Gentil in 1749 and added to Charles Messier's catalogue in 1764, and it spans an angular diameter about the size of the full Moon, centered roughly 1,010 light-years away.
