Messier 15 is a globular cluster in the constellation Pegasus, discovered by the Italian astronomer Jean-Dominique Maraldi in 1746 and later included in Charles Messier's 1764 catalogue of comet-like objects. At an estimated age of about 12.5 billion years, it ranks among the oldest globular clusters known.
