Messier 110, also known as M110 or NGC 205, is a dwarf elliptical galaxy in the constellation Andromeda and a satellite of the much larger Andromeda Galaxy, discovered by Charles Messier himself in 1773 but not included in his published catalogue during his own lifetime; the British astronomer Kenneth Glyn Jones added it formally in 1967. It lies roughly 2.2 million light-years from Earth, the same approximate distance as its parent galaxy, and shows faint traces of recent star formation that are unusual for a galaxy of its type.
