10 Hygiea, generally known as Hygiea, is a large asteroid in the outer main asteroid belt, discovered on 12 April 1849 by the Italian astronomer Annibale de Gasparis. It is the fourth-largest main-belt asteroid by both volume and mass, with a mean diameter of 433 kilometres and a mass constituting about three percent of the main belt's total.

Hygiea has an orbital period of 5.57 Earth years and follows an elliptical orbit where its distance from the Sun ranges between 2.79 AU (420 million km; 260 million mi) at perihelion to 3.49 AU (520 million km; 320 million mi) at aphelion.
