Epimetheus is an inner moon of Saturn named after the Titan Epimetheus, brother of Prometheus and son of Iapetus in Greek mythology. It shares a co-orbital relationship with the neighboring moon Janus, the two bodies periodically swapping orbits as they pass close by one another rather than colliding.
