The Double Cluster, also catalogued as Caldwell 14, consists of the two open star clusters NGC 869 and NGC 884, which lie close together in the constellation Perseus. Both are visible to the naked eye and sit at a distance of about 7,500 light-years, within the Perseus Arm of the Milky Way, making the pair a favorite target for observers scanning that part of the sky with binoculars or a small telescope.
