Caldwell 28, also known as NGC 752, is an open cluster of stars in the constellation Andromeda, independently observed by the German-British astronomer Caroline Herschel in 1783. It lies roughly 1,300 light-years from Earth and spans an area of sky large enough that it is best viewed with binoculars or a wide-field telescope rather than high magnification.
