Reid Wiseman is an American NASA astronaut, United States Navy captain and test pilot who commanded the 2026 Artemis II lunar flyby, the first crewed flight around the Moon since Apollo 17 in 1972. He served as the seventeenth chief of the NASA Astronaut Office from 2020 to 2022 before returning to flight status for Artemis II.
