Mark Kelly is an American NASA astronaut and retired United States Navy captain who flew four Space Shuttle missions, commanding STS-124 and STS-134, the final flight of the orbiter Endeavour. He is the identical twin brother of fellow astronaut Scott Kelly, and the two were the subjects of a NASA Twins Study comparing the biological effects of a year-long spaceflight against an Earthbound sibling. Kelly is married to former United States Representative Gabrielle Giffords, who survived a 2011 assassination attempt, and he was later elected as a United States Senator from Arizona.
