Liu Yang is a Chinese People Liberation Army Air Force pilot and astronaut who became the first Chinese woman to fly in space, aboard the Shenzhou 9 mission in June 2012, which performed Chinas first crewed docking with the Tiangong-1 space laboratory. She later flew a second mission, Shenzhou 14, in 2022 to the newly completed Tiangong space station.
