Kayla Barron is an American submarine warfare officer, engineer and NASA astronaut, selected in 2017 as part of NASA Astronaut Group 22 and qualified as an astronaut in 2020. She flew her first spaceflight aboard SpaceX Crew-3 as part of Expedition 66/67, launching to the International Space Station on November 10, 2021, after earlier serving as a submarine warfare officer and Flag Aide to the Superintendent of the United States Naval Academy.
