Gennady Padalka is a Russian cosmonaut who holds the record for the most cumulative time spent in space by any human, with 878 days accumulated across five long-duration missions to the Mir space station and the International Space Station. He commanded several of his missions and performed multiple spacewalks during his career, which spanned more than fifteen years of active spaceflight service.
