Anatoly Solovyev is a Russian cosmonaut who holds the world record for the most spacewalks performed by any human, with sixteen across his career, and for the most cumulative spacewalking time, at more than 82 hours outside a spacecraft. He flew five missions in total to the Mir space station between 1988 and 1998, commanding several of them during a period of intensive station construction and maintenance work.
