Alexander Viktorenko is a Russian cosmonaut who flew four missions to the Mir space station between 1987 and 1995, commanding all four, making him one of the more experienced Soviet and Russian mission commanders of the Mir era. His flights spanned a period of significant expansion of the Mir station through the addition of new modules, and he performed multiple spacewalks in support of that construction and maintenance work.
