Vast is a privately held American aerospace company headquartered in Long Beach, California, that is developing commercial space stations with artificial gravity, including the single-module Haven-1 and a planned multi-module successor, Haven-2, intended as a successor to the International Space Station. The company was founded in 2021 by Jed McCaleb, who serves as chairman, with Max Haot as chief executive, and it tripled its workforce after acquiring the rocket company Launcher in February 2023. As of October 2024 the company employed more than 606 people across its Long Beach headquarters and an additional facility in Hawthorne, California.
