Isar Aerospace is a German aerospace company based in Ottobrunn near Munich, founded in 2018 and named after the river that flows through Munich. The company is developing Spectrum, a two-stage, liquid-fueled rocket designed to launch 1,000 kilograms to low Earth orbit, and intends to manufacture about 80 percent of the rocket itself, drawing on technology firms in the area surrounding Munich.
