The China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, known as CASC, is the main contractor for the Chinese space program. It is a state-owned enterprise with subsidiaries that design, develop and manufacture spacecraft, launch vehicles and ground equipment, and it also maintains a division for strategic and tactical missile systems.
